The Current Situation
Following our recent enquiries, the Council has indicated that repairs are tentatively scheduled for late September, subject to the required consents being approved. While any progress is welcome, this timeline means our High Street remains in a state of neglect throughout the busiest months of the summer season.
Furthermore, the Council has admitted they lack a dedicated maintenance budget for vandalism of this kind. This lack of a proactive plan is a significant factor in the long delays we have seen so far.
